AMPCO president to speak in Sarnia
AMPCO president Adam White.
The president of the Association of Major Power Consumers in Ontario (AMPCO) will speak in Sarnia at an event being presented by the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce.
Adam White will be at the Lambton College Event Centre on Monday, April 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a noon luncheon, with his address and questions and answers to follow.
AMPCO is the voice of industrial power users in Ontario and its objective is industrial electricity rates that are competitive, fair and efficient.
Ontario’s seemingly complicated electricity system is comprised of multiple agencies.
AMPCO serves its members with critical analysis of electricity policy and regulation, market research and analysis, and expert representation on the policy and regulatory matters that affect members' bottom line.
AMPCO is the forum of choice for major power consumers who recognize their business success - and Ontario's manufacturing economy - depends on electricity policy and regulation that promotes efficiency and protects the interests of consumers.
"Competitive electricity rates are an absolute priority for AMPCO members...,” said Adam White “...to provide a stable investment climate, and that means more jobs.”
AMPCO is a non-profit consumer interest advocacy organization that promotes the competitiveness of industry through affordable and reliable electricity supplies. AMPCO members represent the forestry, pulp and paper, chemical, mining and minerals, steel, petroleum products, cement, automotive and other manufacturing industries.
