Seven LCCVI lancers competed at the SWOSSAA Tennis Championships on Tuesday in Sarnia, and three of those will be advancing to the OFSAA Championships in June 2017.

Matt Mueller and Griffen Allen claimed first place for boys doubles in the open division, defeating Victor Velehorschi and Alex Crainic of Massey 8-1.

Marissa Mueller placed second overall in girls singles in the high school division, defeating Reese Jones of General Amherst 8-2. Mueller lost to Natalia Glaz of Villanova 8-4, but still claimed herself a spot at OFSAA next year.

Mason Hyde and Josh South also competed in the boys doubles, taking seventh place overall. Sarah Hayter and Ashley Kucera also placed seventh in the girls doubles.
